Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how marketers plan, launch, and optimize campaigns, with enterprise software providers increasingly replacing traditional dashboards with conversational interfaces. Perion is betting that the next evolution of digital advertising won’t require users to navigate layers of reports and planning tools at all.

The company has introduced Ask Perion, a new self-service, agentic interface within its Perion One platform, along with a mobile app designed to help marketers generate media plans and analyze campaign performance using natural language. The launch marks another step in Perion’s effort to build an AI-native execution platform as advertising workflows become increasingly complex.

Turning Questions Into Action

Managing omnichannel campaigns has become significantly more complicated as brands distribute budgets across connected TV, retail media, digital video, social platforms, and other channels. While the amount of campaign data available to marketers has grown, turning that information into actionable decisions often still requires switching between multiple dashboards and manually compiling reports.

Ask Perion is designed to reduce that friction by allowing marketers to interact with campaign data conversationally.

The platform includes two AI-powered capabilities. Its Insights Agent enables users to ask plain-language questions about campaign performance and receive answers covering spending, pacing, delivery, creative effectiveness, and channel performance. Meanwhile, the Planning Agent transforms marketing briefs into structured, cross-channel media plans aligned with campaign objectives, helping teams move from planning to execution more quickly.

Rather than simply surfacing data, the system is intended to help marketers act on it without the manual processes that have traditionally slowed campaign execution.

Extending AI Beyond the Desktop

Perion is also introducing the Ask Perion Mobile App, which is debuting at Cannes Lions 2026. This gives users access to the platform’s planning and performance intelligence wherever they are.

The mobile experience brings the same conversational capabilities to smartphones, enabling marketers to review campaign insights, generate media plans, and make decisions without returning to a desktop environment. The release reflects the growing expectation that enterprise software should provide the same flexibility and accessibility users have come to expect from consumer applications.

Together, the desktop and mobile experiences represent the first phase of what Perion describes as a broader self-service execution model.

A Shift Toward Self-Serve Advertising

Beyond improving the user experience, Ask Perion is intended to support Perion’s own operational strategy.

By enabling customers to independently generate campaign plans and retrieve performance insights, the company expects to reduce its cost-to-serve while accelerating campaign turnaround times. The self-service model also creates an opportunity to scale operations without proportionally increasing manual support, an increasingly common objective as software companies integrate AI into customer-facing products.

According to Tal Jacobson, CEO of Perion, the launch reflects a broader transformation in how marketers engage with advertising technology. He said Ask Perion “is another step we’re taking to serve marketers worldwide and help them reach their goals with minimum effort,” adding that it “marks a fundamental shift in how marketers interact with their campaigns, moving from navigating complex platforms to simply asking questions and generating instant plans.”

Jacobson said the launch represents another milestone in the company’s transition toward a self-service execution model. As Perion continues expanding the Perion One ecosystem, he said the phased approach is intended to help customers drive ROI more quickly while streamlining operational workflows and creating a foundation for scalable revenue growth. He added that the initiative serves as “a foundational building block in achieving the growth and efficiency targets outlined in our 2028 plan.”

AI’s Growing Role in Marketing Infrastructure

Ask Perion reflects a broader trend across enterprise software, where AI agents are evolving beyond simple automation tools into interfaces capable of interpreting requests, generating recommendations, and completing complex workflows.

As marketing organizations face increasing pressure to execute campaigns faster while managing a growing number of channels, platforms that combine planning, analytics, and execution into a single conversational experience are becoming a larger part of the industry’s AI strategy.

With Ask Perion, the company is positioning conversational AI not merely as an assistant, but as a central interface for managing omnichannel advertising from planning through performance optimization.
