Bloom & Wild is the letterbox flower delivery service that is changing how people send and deliver flowers in the UK. The startup, which was founded by Ben Stanway and Aron Gelbard in 2013, has invested heavily in its Android and iOS apps to helps consumers place flowers orders in seconds

The company is an online and mobile florist with a new approach to sending and receiving flowers.  Their aim is to make receiving flowers as easy as receiving letters and sending them as easy as sending a text message.

All fresh flower bouquets in the company are designed by professional florists to be long-lasting and stunning. Each arrangement is presented in bespoke boxes; strong enough to protect petals and designed to be as beautiful as the flowers inside.

Bloom & Wild’s flowers are packed by hand, with protective netting on big flowers to keep them in a safe condition on their journey. The company sends flowers in bud which mean their flowers last longer. Each flower comes with arrangement instructions and care tips to keep the flowers blooming for more than one week.

To send flowers, first, download their app. The app will allow you to send flowers, follow the flowers on their transit with real-time updates and remind you of any special occasions in your calendar.

When asked what made him establish the company, Aron Gelbard responded: “Many people had sent flowers in the past and they didn’t arrive when they’re supposed to. That use to ruin the surprise. Consequently, we wondered if we can use technology to create something customer would love using.”

Although Gelbard could not divulge the financials of the company at this stage, he said that they are delivering a ‘thousands’ of bouquets every week, a number that is growing very rapidly.

Gelbard has big plans for the company. “We’re working on a fast delivery service beginning in central London this year, where customers will be able to receive flowers within an hour.” At the moments, fast delivery is a hot topic, with tax app Gett providing bottles of Veuve Clicquot in less than ten minutes and Amazon providing one-hour fulfillment in parts of central London.
