University Of Technology Offers Several Bachelors Degree Programs

The University of Technology, Iraq has been one of Iraq’s leading universities and is situated on the eastern side of the country in the heart of the capital city of Baghdad. It was founded in 1960 as an Institute of Industrial Teachers set up by the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with UNESCO, in order to develop the educational system of the country. It now holds over ten thousand students, who are pursuing graduate and postgraduate degrees in a variety of disciplines. This university has recently been rated as the top school in the Middle East. This university offers over one hundred different courses and this includes a large number of courses in both the applied sciences and the humanities and over three hundred courses in business. There are also many interdisciplinary programs offered such as the International Joint Program for Computing.

The Graduate programs at the University of Technology are similar to that of the undergraduate programs. Students have the opportunity to choose a specific concentration within the graduate program. For the computer systems and software engineering programs, students can choose to pursue either Software Engineering or Product Design. In the electrical and computer engineering programs, students can choose to pursue either Digital Electronics or Software Engineering. In the chemical and biochemistry programs, they can pursue either Chemistry or Biochemistry. The international joint program also offers a concentration in Artificial Intelligence.
