University Of Technology Offers Several Bachelors Degree Programs

The University of Technology, Iraq has been one of Iraq’s leading universities and is situated on the eastern side of the country in the heart of the capital city of Baghdad. It was founded in 1960 as an Institute of Industrial Teachers set up by the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with UNESCO, in order to develop the educational system of the country. It now holds over ten thousand students, who are pursuing graduate and postgraduate degrees in a variety of disciplines. This university has recently been rated as the top school in the Middle East. This university offers over one hundred different courses and this includes a large number of courses in both the applied sciences and the humanities and over three hundred courses in business. It is home to the School of Engineering which is one of the oldest Engineering Colleges in the region and also houses the Graduate School of Business Administration.

There are many areas of concentration within the School of Engineering at the University of Technology. Within its undergraduate programs, you can find a large number of courses that are in the areas of aeronautics, computer science, electronics, physics, and chemistry. Students can complete their degrees in four years which allows them to complete two four-year degree programs. The University of Technology is also home to over twenty departments and programs which offer over one hundred programs each.

There are a variety of different courses that can be taken through the University of Technology. The undergraduate programs range from general education to more specific concentrations. They offer engineering courses such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical, and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Mechatronics. There are also courses for the students which include Computer Systems and Software Engineering, Digital and Analog Engineering, Foundations of Computing, Digital Signal Processing, Electrical, and Computer Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. There are also many interdisciplinary programs offered such as the International Joint Program for Computing.



The Graduate programs at the University of Technology are similar to that of the undergraduate programs. Students have the opportunity to choose a specific concentration within the graduate program. For the computer systems and software engineering programs, students can choose to pursue either Software Engineering or Product Design. In the electrical and computer engineering programs, students can choose to pursue either Digital Electronics or Software Engineering. In the chemical and biochemistry programs, they can pursue either Chemistry or Biochemistry. The international joint program also offers a concentration in Artificial Intelligence.

As technology advances, so do the industries that utilize the technology. Those who work in IT have been growing in numbers over the past few decades. There are many different industries and sectors that utilize technology. This includes computer technology, information technology, telecommunications technology, and manufacturing technology. In addition to those specific industries, there are many others that embrace technology. The U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security are both large users of technology in the workplace.

The Bachelor’s degree programs in IT offer many options for those who are considering a future in IT. Although there are many options out there, the University of Technology has developed a number of highly recognized and reputable programs in the fields of Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Software Engineering. These degree programs are ranked highly in the national competition. Graduates from these programs have a bright future as they work with leading IT companies and corporations.
