Electrical Technology is a branch of electronics that includes many of the same principles as other electrical science disciplines such as mechanics and electronics. As the name implies, Electrical Technology mainly deals with the design, manufacture, installation, maintenance, or operation of electrical/ electronic systems. However, this field is quite competitive and there is stiff competition among engineers in the electrical technology field. Electrical engineers are required in a variety of fields because of their expertise and understanding of the different processes involved.

Electricians are required to be licensed by the local board of licensing as well as meet various requirements. In order to perform their duties in an effective manner, Electrician professionals must have excellent customer service skills. They must have a friendly manner and be willing to take suggestions from clients. Electricians are often required to do maintenance work on their clients’ electrical wiring systems. As part of their licensing process, Electricians are also required to take and pass examinations and be certified in various electrical technology fields.
